Christian Totty, Secretary & COC

Originally from Ohio, I came to AOMA after five years of living in Chicago working in the non-profit and health-care fields. As ASA secretary, I get to listen alot! I write and distribute ASA meeting minutes and update the student and faculty mailing lists. I also get to work with fellow cabinet members on projects throughout the year. In addition to being ASA Secretary, I’m also a student representative on the Clinic Oversight Committee (COC). I joined ASA (and COC) to learn more about the AOMA community. It’s an honor to serve as a vessel of open communication, and healthy dialogue between students, staff, and faculty. A few fun facts about me: I’m an artist and activist. I’m also a massage therapist, and teach applied theatre workshops. I’ve traveled to Japan, Canada, and Africa (and look forward to more travel!).  I love graphic novels, and poetry.

Devan Oschmann, Co-President

Hi, I'm Devan! I'm an outdoorsy Wisconsin native and yoga teacher. As an ASA Co-president, my duty is to enhance student life at AOMA and create solidarity within the student body. One of my primary goals is to enhance communication between faculty and the students. If you see me around campus please share your thoughts with me, otherwise visit our contact page!

Kate Wetzel, Marketing

My goal is to be a helper and offer smiles when I can. The umbrella in my backseat helps remind me that sometime in there I graduated into adulthood.  Among the best advice given to me was from a college advisor, who told me to "find something in this lifetime that you are passionate about and live a life that shows it." Nearly 18 years later those words still help shape my endeavors. In ASA, I want to connect AOMA students to each other and offer professional and quality-of-life support. In my TCM career, I want to provide palliative and end-of-life care to patients and their survivors.

Amanda Garcia, Treasurer

I am an ASA scholarship recipient provided with an opportunity to attend the Integrative Health Care Symposium in New York City. The experience inspired me to create more learning opportunities for students and raise awareness about Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. My goals as Treasurer are to raise funds, maintain a well balanced budget, and promote additional education opportunities for students. When I’m not on campus, I enjoy playing guitar, bass, and singing in my band, Le Marie.

I will put in Matt's bio when he sends it

Gene Kuntz, Co-president

Howdy, I'm Gene. I hail from just around the corner in Lake Charles, LA.  The first time I remember seeing acupuncture was on a kung fu movie.  An old master said, "Any man can hurt someone, it takes a true master to heal someone".  I was hooked. After years of martial arts training and several years of being a massage therapist, I decided to become an acupuncturist and begin another journey.  As ASA Co-president, my aim is to help students find their voice, hear their aspirations and help bring them to fruition. If you see me around, don't hesitate to stop me whether you have an idea or just want a high five!
